In media, advocacy, and research, it’s often said that early childhood educators—who work with children age birth to five—are terribly stressed, chronically underpaid, and burning out.
This is certainly true. But we also know that there’s more to the story. In their own words, our participants help us to see both the challenges of their jobs as well as the beautiful worlds that they co-create with the children in their care.
